Frequently Asked Questions

It is manufactured using 100% Chlorobutyl (CIIR) rubber, engineered for superior gas barrier performance, aging resistance, and chemical durability.

ButylShield60 Pro – Chloro is used for chemical tank linings, vapor and gas sealing systems, flange gaskets in corrosive areas, vacuum seals, ozone-prone outdoor covers, and pharmaceutical storage applications where low permeability and chemical stability are essential.

The sheet has a nominal hardness of 60 ± 5 Shore A (ASTM D2240), offering a balance of flexibility and structural integrity for sealing applications.

As per ASTM D412, Tensile Strength: Minimum 8.0 MPa (Observed 8.6 MPa) and Elongation at Break: Minimum 350% (Observed 365%). These properties ensure reliable flexibility and long-term durability under stress.

ButylShield60 Pro – Chloro performs effectively between –40°C to +130°C, making it suitable for both low-temperature and high-heat industrial environments.

The sheet offers: Excellent resistance to ozone, dilute and concentrated acids & bases and oils also Fair resistance to certain chemicals but Not recommended for solvents. This makes it suitable for chemically aggressive zones.

Yes. Chlorobutyl rubber provides very low gas and vapor transmission rates, making it ideal for containment, vacuum environments, and leakage control applications.
