What is a Nitrile Rubber Sheet?
Nitrile rubber sheet, commonly known as NBR rubber sheet or Buna-N sheet, is a synthetic elastomer made from a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. It is the industry standard material for applications requiring resistance to petroleum oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and greases, outperforming natural rubber, EPDM, and neoprene in direct oil and fuel contact environments.
The oil resistance of an NBR sheet increases with its acrylonitrile (NBR) polymer content.
