Silicone Rubber Sheet

Tested to ASTM D412 | Operating Range: -20°C to +225°C

Duratuf Silicone Rubber Sheets are manufactured for demanding industrial environments where standard rubber compounds fail in high-cycle sealing, chemical-contact surfaces, and continuous thermal exposure. Available in two performance grades (Silico60 Pro and Silico60 X), each sheet is tested to ASTM D412 for tensile strength and elongation. Supplied in red and translucent variants with consistent 60 Shore A hardness.

What is a Silicone Rubber Sheet?

Silicone rubber sheet is a synthetic rubber material built around Silicon-Oxygen molecular bonds, distinct from carbon-chain compounds like SBR or EPDM. This structure gives silicone rubber its ability to retain dimensional stability and Shore A hardness across repeated thermal cycles, making it one of the few elastomers reliable in environments ranging from -20°C to +225°C.

Unlike standard rubber sheets, silicone does not harden, crack, or degrade under continuous heat or UV exposure. Its closed surface resists bacterial growth, making it suitable for pharmaceutical and food-adjacent applications. It is also hypoallergenic, electrically insulative in non-critical zones, and available in both smooth-surface and custom-cut configurations.

Duratuf Silicone Rubber Sheets are batch-tested for tensile strength (ASTM D412), hardness uniformity (ASTM D2240), and specific gravity (ASTM D297) before dispatch.

Ideal for:
  • Autoclave and oven door gaskets
  • Vacuum blanket and diaphragm liners
  • Pharmaceutical & cleanroom non-contact surfaces
  • HVAC duct seals and refrigeration system gaskets
  • Non-food contact food processing & packaging liners
  • High-cycle enclosure sealing in chemical plants

Types of Silicone Rubber Sheets: Duratuf Grades

Duratuf Silicone rubber sheeting is available in red and translucent colors in 60° Shore A hardness. Both grades Silico60 Pro and Silico60 X tested to ASTM D412.

Major Industrial Applications of Duratuf Silicone Rubber Sheets

Silicone rubber sheets are specified in industrial settings where operating temperatures, chemical exposure, or contamination control rules out standard rubber compounds. Duratuf Silico60 Pro and Silico60 X grades are supplied to EHS-managed facilities across manufacturing, pharma, HVAC, and electrical sectors. Below are the primary application categories where silicone rubber sheet is the material of choice.

  • Sealing & Gasketing: Used in autoclaves, industrial ovens, outdoor enclosures, and chemical tank lids where silicone’s resistance to UV, ozone, and temperature extremes ensures long service life.
  • Electrical Insulation (Non-Critical): Acts as a dielectric spacer and enclosure liner in switchgear mounting systems, circuit breaker housings, and cable management assemblies.
  • Cushioning and Vibration Damping: Installed in HVAC air handlers, metal fabrication setups, and precision instrument bases to absorb mechanical shock and reduce vibration transmission.
  • Machine and Conveyor Liners: Serves as flexible spacer, friction liner, and protective sheet in non-food-contact food processing equipment, packaging machinery, and industrial conveyors.
  • Pharmaceutical and Cleanroom Applications: Non-porous, hypoallergenic surface supports use in sterile environments, non-contact food processing zones, and pharmaceutical packaging lines where contamination resistance is critical.
