Thicknesses ranging from 1 mm to 12 mm are available for marine applications. However, we can also offer customized thickness up to 50 mm.

Neoprene is preferred because its chloroprene polymer structure provides strong resistance to saltwater, oxidation, ozone, and UV exposure. Natural rubber lacks this chemical stability, so it swells, oxidizes, and cracks more quickly in marine conditions.

Yes. Neoprene (CR) has a solid oil-and-weather balance and holds up well outdoors across -30°C to +110°C, which is why it's used for general-purpose outdoor and multi-application sheets.

Reasonably, but not best-in-class. Neoprene handles moderate sun exposure fine, but for installations under continuous direct UV, EPDM or Hypalon (CSM) resist UV and ozone degradation better over the long term.

Most rubbers are chemically inert to salt water, so it won't attack the polymer the way oils or solvents do. The bigger risks are surface degradation and swelling with prolonged exposure, and salt residue accelerating corrosion of any metal fittings or reinforcement. Neoprene and EPDM are the better choices for marine or coastal environments.
